The formation of stalagmites
Occurs between the gaps of sound and silence
Taps are dripping and hands are stirring
Hot sauces in a steel pan

And the rainwater percolates limestone caverns
As mounds of calcites collect and new forms emerge
From the darkness

Unearthing mysteries from a deep clear pool
Where sound became muffled by watery stillness
And sight becomes blurred

As in the spaces in between
Soon enough minerals merge depositing surprises
