Gloaming Mound
04:00
|
|||
Now here lies
an unquenchable warmth to the day
as it passes away
and the particles gather together as one
from afar you astonish
the broken silence
and time became measured
by the weight of our need
and a mountain of terror
cries out to our feet
and we were once spacious
our souls hid the stars
like the old skies on midsummer evenings
when everything lingers

Castle
04:42
|
|||
We were inside the ruins of a castle
there was an empty table with six vacant chairs surrounding
and we were telling the stories of the people who once lived there
listening to the mysteries
of the ones long gone
entering the ruins
of a young woman
empty space loomed
where there once was a back door
stones piled upon stones
forming a steep drop down towards a trench
suddenly he appeared in the doorway and called us back home

Earthbox
04:08
|
|||
White washed soil
rain on the ropes
a cause for laughter
is a forceful hope
burial service
transfusion of blood
the kindred slain
of a sweet young girl
stay with me
it is all dark and it is all strange
inside the earth box
we will all rest and in peace
nagging doom
in the splendid clouds
a hollow shock concussed thoughts
sun dips sky bleeds out
we must not draw back
a kiss from dead lips
comfort is strength from
a tall woman
stay with me
it is all dark and it is all strange
inside the earth box
we will all rest and in peace

Midlanders
06:37
|
|||
The sky was prussian blue
but there was no moon
hazy ochre were the street lights
shining down onto the well-trod paths of the town
here lie the midlanders they that came before us…
salty white were the feathers
of the ancient swans
haunting the murky water
the bold chimes of the church bells
echoing over towards the eye of the beacon

Dust
03:32
|
|||
though my mind’s not
hoodwinked with marvels
I do think there are more things
in the dust
the air
the flood
than will let a frail mind say
than what wise man
who walked so proud
as if his form alone filled the wide temple of the universe

Stairwell
05:23
|
|||
We were in the old house
talking with the people
our attention was distracted
the whispering woods stood through the window
let the wolves devour let the deluge roar towards us
the piano lay opened standing in the stairwell
climbing up was not an option
the stacks of books became unruly
let the wolves devour let the deluge roar towards us

Two Shadows
05:00
|
|||
Pale light blue veins returned with them
a wall wreathed in darkness resting peacefully
two shadows towering between them two shadows soaring between them
seaweed salt stained trickling trailing
ashen remains shooting sailing

Inclines
06:32
|
|||
Underneath the land in between the seams a ghost lay lowly rendering
within an ancient sacred thought enclose it there
when the third day came the incline was unstable
the spotlight shines strangely
straight through secret wounds into our crumbling tombs
